Linedwell Rainrex [TRANSFER] Trz146y

Name: Linedwell Rainrex

Link to original FTRP application: http://www.fairytailrp.com/t21118-linedwell-rainrex

Biographical Information:
Age: 21
Birth Date: 22, January,  X870
Birthplace: Diamante
Relatives: All relatives are deceased.

Physical Description:
Gender: Male
Height: 6'0
Weight: 141 lbs
General Description: Linedwell has dark black hair, which grows down to his ears, and is tied into a ponytail at the back of his head. His eyes have a yellow color, his pupils reminiscent of a snake. When making use of magic, his eyes as well as the two circles under his right eye turn red in color. Around his neck he wears a black, scarf-like collar, decorated with two light yellow arrows pointing downward. On both sides of his head there are black and light yellow headphones with light yellow ear cups, and two black stripes thereon. The right side of his face features two yellow circles above his cheek, which are connected through thin lines. His clothing consists of a black, long-sleeved shirt he wears over a longer black one, and black flap trousers. The black shirt has a deep, round neckline and two rounded cuts at both sides, over his waist. The right sleeve of Linedwell's white shirt differs in length to that of his left, stopping at just below the elbow whereas his left ends at the wrist. The black bibs of his flap trousers are not on his shoulders, but instead are hanging down loosely. Again, the legs of his trousers show black, down pointing arrows on both sides. The ends of the trousers are stuffed into grey boots, which both have light yellow arrows instead of black ones on them. From his sleeves there are black bands hanging down.

Personal Information:
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Personality: Linedwell is a complex individual. At times he can be rude, aloof, and react to things in ways that lead people to believe he jokes a lot,  but at the same time he can act quite serious and caring (to those he feels can be beneficial to him in one way or another). Linedwell has also been known to be very arrogant, yet unknown to others this actually hides a lack of self-confidence that he has in his abilities. No matter how strong he is in actuality, he always feels as though it isn't enough. This in turn has given him a lust for power, causing him him to continually seek and search out power, trying with all his might to become stronger.  He detests those that interfere with his goals and ambitions of others, and never goes out of his way to interfere with the ambitions of others, but  should they come into conflict with his own desires he will not hesitate to bring an end to whatever impedes him. He lives his life based on his his own wants and desires, yet, he remains loyal to the Magic Council as they have given him an adequate vehicle in which to attain his goals.

Those that he sees as his friends he thinks of as his family and would protect with his life, yet, getting to this level with Linedwell is very difficult to do. He also finds it hard to trust new individuals. He can be rather oblivious to the feelings of others and can be rather abrasive at times, not taking the cues from others that there is something particularly wrong with how he may be acting at the time. This has led to many fights in Linedwell's young life, but the fact that he relishes battle has never truly caused him to think ill of this quality. Though he enjoys combat, he never truly fights out of anger or hate, and never usually acts out of this emotion. When he is pushed to this point he has a tendency to hold grudges against those responsible for this. These grudges usually last for quite a while.

Magic Information:
Magic: Darkness Magic (Color of the magic is black/green)
Description: Darkness Magic is a type of Magic which allows users to manipulate and control destructive Dark Magic. This Magic has a physical form used for destroying objects, blocking enemies' attacks and picking up objects. The color of the Magic varies depending on the caster (red, purple, black, green, etc.). Users typically shape their attacks into the form of ghostly apparitions, which they can use in various ways. The malefic nature of this Magic tends to complement the sinister nature of its users, and it is known to make people physically ill and cold in nature.

Advantages:  The user of this magic is capable of molding it to suit their needs. Because of this, the magic itself is incredibly versatile. Being one of the more purer elements, it has no elemental weakness aside from Holy magic. It is highly offensive in nature and quite destructive when utilized to its full potential.

Disadvantages: As much as it is a strength against Holy magic, Darkness magic also has a weakness towards Holy magic. The defensive abilities of Darkness magic are somewhat limited, as are the debilitation capabilities of this magic.

Magic: Kaio-Ken (Holder) Makes use of the gloves on Linedwell's hands
Description: Kaio-ken which is litterally translated to "Fist of the World King" or "World King Fist" is a fighting technique which relies on an innate essence that all humans possess, known as "Ki". Though Ki is innately powerful when used in the right hands, through combining this latent energy with the power of magic, one can ascend to entirely new heights.

Kaio-Ken is a technique that multiplies the user's ki for a "heart beat", enabling them to inflict serious damage to opponents. Though with the use of magic, it is possible to sustain these effects for even longer. As a result of Kaio-ken, the natural abilities are enhanced greatly. When using boosts from Kaio-Ken, the user is surrounded in a dense red aura.

Advantages: Through the use of Kaio-Ken, the user is able to exceed their limits, multiplying their prowess in combat immensely. Kaio-Ken is able to buff the user, allowing them to ascend to great heights.

Disadvantages: The technique, however, has its substantial flaws. If the user multiplies their base ki too much, the uprise of ki could easily obliterate them, or severely damage their body. This means if a user uses a form of Kaio-Ken that they aren't necessarily prepared to handle, this could end up causing them more damage from making use of this spell then they might have incurred as a result of the battle they were currently engaged in. This magic is also in no way inconspicuous, when the aura is formed, anyone in the vicinity of it will know that the user has undergone some sort of transformation

Chronological and Political Information:
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Guild: Magic Council
Background History: Linedwell was born into a wealthy and once prestigious family that had been well known around Fiore for centuries. His mother had passed during childbirth and he had been left to be raised by his father. Linedwell's father, Aarne, took the loss hard, but he never once attributed his son's birth to the loss of his wife, and he did his best to raise his son into a man that she would be proud to call her own. The family that Linedwell had been born into had a reputation of being ruthless and valuing power above all else, so much so that they delved into the dark arts of Blood Magic in order to obtain the power that they held. It was a practice that Aarne had always been ashamed of. Not necessarily in the practice of Blood Magic, but in the pursuit of unnecessary power that in turn ended up corrupting all those that went in search of it. It was a path that Aarne had seen his own father go down, and it was a path that he would do all in his power to prevent his son from going down.

Though this was a noble goal, within the realm of Blood magic, power is something that naturally becomes sought after. The Rainrex family had learned this the hard way over 400 years ago when they became subservient to another clan of Blood users, known as the Claret's. Within the doctrines of blood magic, it is stated that the strongest family of blood magic users that exist will be known as rulers within the realm of that power. All others who make use of the ability and are not of said bloodline must become subservient to those that are of the most powerful bloodline. Like it was said before, blood magic and its users respect power above all else. If a family had managed to become the strongest within respect to this magic, then it was obvious that they were the pinnacle of what all blood magic users should aspire to be. It was only natural that others would fall in line behind them.

The Rainrex's had previously been the family that had been thought of as the strongest, and, once rumors had surfaced that claimed the Claret's had thought of them as the betters, a long and bloody feud was waged between the two families, ultimately ending in the near annihilation of the Rainrex bloodline. The Rainrex's were then employed as the personal servants of the Claret family as punishment as well as to send a message to all other families of what could potentially happen to them.

Though Aarne was a man that held great pride in his Rainrex bloodline as well as great mastery in the arts of Blood Magic, he wasn't a man that would hold 400 year old grudges. In his years, he had learned that it was better to live on for the future and not to harbor the hatred of men that had long since died. He had seen his father harbor this hatred, and it had ultimately costed him his life. It was not a path that he wished to go down, and more than anything he needed to be an example to his son. Aarne doted on his son, and Linedwell looked up to his father and loved him, but there was something that his son was able to see that Aarne was not privy to.

All Linedwell could see from his father was inaction, and it was an inaction that he could not understand. While growing up, his father would always train him in the ways of blood magic so that if anything happened he would be prepared to defend himself, even going so far as to inscribe Linedwell with the runes necessary to bypass incantation when making use of blood magic. Linedwell had always seen firsthand just how powerful and skilled his father was, and had always been in awe of his prowess...but this soon caused confusion for the boy. In knowing just how powerful his father was, how could his own father take a knee to those that had slaughtered their family long ago? How could his father serve the people that killed his own father? Why had he not yet taken his magic to these fools and slain them all? Did he carry no shame in bending his knee in such a way? Maybe he had something planned and Linedwell had just not been privy to it? Yes, that had to be it. Linedwell had always began to assume that his father would one day show these fools just how weak they truly were....and that day never came. This slowly but surely instilled a deep seated hatred in Linedwell's heart for the Claret's, as well as disappointment in his father. To see such a strong man be so weak was sickening. Though he would always love his father, he knew he needed to travel down another path. He could never be the same as the man he called his father.

As the years went by things changed within the structure of the Claret family line. The elders within the family grew older as time passed, and as such, their paranoia seemed to grow as well. One thing they seemed to have growing concerns about revolved around the young man known as Linedwell. As the years passed, it was obvious to them all that revenge was something that wasn't too far off in the realm of possibilities for this young man. Keeping your enemies close was always a good approach, but this was mostly done in order to keep tabs on what they were up to, and at this very moment the young blood mage appeared to be a threat.

Once Linedwell reached the age of 18, he requested from Claret's that he be released form his bonds of servitude in order explore the world. Linedwell realized over the years that as he was, he'd never be able to match up against this family if he remained stagnated in this place. Even though the elders of the Claret line were growing older, their daughter, Valasca had grown exponentially. Though only three years his senior, she had surpassed him leaps and bounds in the art of blood magic, and this infuriated him...but not more than the sight of that Farren "Claret", the boy that Valasca had taken in and had obviously began to groom as her successor within the Claret bloodline...something he was not even a part of. The thought of serving the Claret's was something that had always caused Linedwell's blood to boil, but now the thought of his family serving those that were not even of the Claret bloodline caused an anger that he knew he would not be able control if he were to stay. He decided it was for the best if he left, though he had no intentions of abandoning his father. He'd be back soon enough, and through the use of the power he obtained during his experiences on the outside, he break his father free of the shackles of the Claret's. The Claret's agreed to his departure and wished him farewell, yet, not before concocting a plan of their own.

During his travels around Fiore, Linedwell gained quite the reputation as guildless mage, taking on jobs that many others couldn't accomplish. His skills as a blood mage also set him a part, being that it had been a magic that many had never seen. It gave him a sort of infamy that also added to his allure, and many people actively began to seek him out to offer him jobs, just out of curiosity. In the mage world of Fiore, Linedwell was no considered S-ranked. Soon enough, Linedwell began to rack up more than just fame and fortune, but also experience and new found mastery over his abilities. So much so that he became arrogant, and his thirst for power began to consume him. This soon boiled over in an attempt to take his powers to new heights. He began to research further into the runes that had been inscribed on his body as a young boy, and began to realize that the power to ascend to higher heights with this magic might be contained in the runes. He began to delve into ways to add, or change the pattern in just how these runes were transcribed. No others had ever dared try this because the understanding in what exactly each individual rune was capable of had been lost, but Linedwell ignored this. Caught up in his own arrogance he began to assume that he would be the one to figure it all out, and this soon all culminated in an accident...yet, this would all come to light as being the plan of the Claret's. Through the false guidance of a teacher planted by the Claret's, Linedwell's tampering with his runes eventually culminated in the loss of his blood magic. With his power sealed away completely, all of the progress made up until this point was lost, and his ambitions of revenge seemed to be put on held indefinitely, at least until he made the acquaintance of a man by the name of Ansem. This mage was one of darkness, and though this darkness was not a magic that Linedwell had ever been accustomed with, Ansem was able to sense the determination and ambition within Linedwell. Though Ansem could sense there was something dark within young Linedwell, this was not his concern. He rarely dabbled in the morality of mortals, but rather, was always interested in the outcome of their actions. Good and bad were just words to Ansem, they held no meaning. Linedwell had a future, and Ansem wanted to see where that future would lead him, be it good or evil. For a year, Ansem took young Linedwell under his wing and trained him in the arts of Darkness magic, replacing his lost Blood Magic, while also entrusting him with yet another magic. This magic was known as Kaio-Ken, and though Ansem was not the originator of this secondary magic, he let it be known that it was powerful enough to accompany the Darkness magic that he was now a wielder of.

With these new powers in tow, Linedwell found himself quickly caught up with a position within the Magic Council. Though a place such as this one could have been seen as being the last place someone such as Linedwell would end up, he truly has found that this place will serve as a great means to an end. He has found out through the council that the Claret's have been deemed dark mages, and as such, through the Magic Council he will be provided with the tools he needs to apprehend these mages (slay them) as well as details on their whereabouts as well. In return for all of this, Linedwell serves them faithfully, though he never forgets his true intentions.
