General Description: Kazuma Mizushima is an athletically built man with fair skin, standing at about 6’1 and weighing 215 pounds. He has long, unkempt, spiky dark brown hair that’s usually styled to the left side and stops at about the back of his neck. His eyes are a light shade of pink, an oddity for any normal person. He has a variety of outfits to suit his needs but usually, his standard attire consists of an opened white and blue trimmed Kimono shirt with his Guild symbol on the back. He has white, low-rise baggy pants with a blue belt buckle and black boots. He has his Guild symbol tattooed on his upper right shoulder in black. Alongside that tattoo, he has one of a cross upon his left shoulder and one of an angel on the upper portion of his back. He also has scars upon his lower back from his time as a slave.

Personality: Most would say that Kazuma is downright psychotic, those that truly know him that is. He is a self-proclaimed sociopath. Not so much immoral as amoral, he stands as an inquisitive, apathetic observer most of the time, assessing people and situations while throwing out a seething barb to two just to stir the pot. He loves it when people react negatively to his comments. He is able to pick up on the slightest detail, the slightest change in their body language and exploit it to its fullest extent. On the flip side of all this, Kazuma can be very vain and flamboyant, so much so that he frequently refers to himself as the most beautiful creature in all of creation. He holds himself in the highest regard, saying anything and everything he does is nothing short of marvelous. He believes his magic to be second to none and is frequently surprised if and when his magic is overtaken by something more powerful. He despises when those he deems to be ugly talk down to him and believe they are superior. The thought aggravates him to no end and he stops at nothing to shut them up, either temporarily or permanently. Despite his erratic nature, he is quite cunning and serious in battle. He is always thinking two steps ahead, trying to come up with the best plan of attack for whatever the situation calls for. In battle, he will attempt to employ any trick necessary to rattle the opponent or outright come on top. He often uses those charms mentioned earlier to catch opponents off guard.

Magic: Earth Dragon Slayer
Description: A type of Magic which allows Kazuma to incorporate the element of earth into his body, gaining exclusive characteristics which are commonly associated with earth dragons. Kazuma is capable of producing earth from his body and of manipulating it to attack his opponents. Kazuma can control any of the elements known as "Earthen" including most solid objects. He is also able to minutely control these abilities such as forming larger objects into more complicated ones or by changing the materials elemental makeup.

Advantages: Earth Dragon Slayer magic is powerful, capable of causing crippling blows with the slightest of ease. Constructing impenetrable defenses just as easily, protecting the user or those who they deem an ally safe from harm. It is strong against lightning magic as earth does not conduct electricity. It is durable enough to resist it. Also, wind is mildly ineffective against it.

Disadvantages: Although immensely powerful, Earth Dragon Slayer magic has its fair share of drawbacks. A noteworthy example being its speed. Also, an Earth Dragon Slayer user are basically ineffective when somewhere where there isn’t any earth to manipulate, I.E the sky. Water, especially in large quantities, is strong against this type as it can break down some of the properties the earth contains, making it less durable and easily breakable. Ice, to some extent, has this same advantage as it is able to freeze it and also make it less durable.

Background History: He was born, Kazuma Mizushima, in the outskirts of a small villages along with his two sisters, Aki and Anzu. The three grew up together in poverty, with Kazuma doing anything he could to protect and provide for them. Most of the time he would steal from the village and attack those who would attempt to harm his sisters. He was sort of their Guardian Angel, a stark contrast to the man he’d grow up to be. During an unknown time, the village was attacked. Blood stained the grounds as if someone painted it red. Bodies lay broken and strew everywhere. Kazuma, by the grace of God, managed to survive. However, not everyone was as lucky. His sisters were murdered in cold blood before his very eyes, something that warped and shaped him into the man he is today. He felt lost and broken, this eventually manifesting into a satiable desire to kill in his later years. He and any other survivors were eventually worn down and captured, forced into slavery. He didn’t care what happened to him at this point, though he found great pleasure in antagonizing the others. He would occasionally make smart remarks to the other slaves and even the guards, earning the scars that line his back. Through the hard labor that he was forced to do, Kazuma's body toughened up. Throughout his time there, Kazuma eventually learned of a Dragon at the back of the cave that had also been captured. He befriended the Dragon due to their similar personalities. It was around this time that he learned her could harness magic as the Dragon, known as Tulvir, began teaching him. As the years passed, his proficiency in magic grew as well. One day, the rest of the slaves began to revolt, Kazuma and Tulvir took this as their opportunity to escape. Taking the quiet route in comparison to the noisy spectacle that lay before them, they managed to sneak around and find their way out. Although the two did encounter a few guards, they were quickly and quietly disposed of. After escaping and acknowledging Tulvir’s decision to go elsewhere, Kazuma decided to renounce his name, cutting off all ties with his previous life. With nowhere else to go, he decided to become a mercenary for hire, taking up jobs for cash and other various things to make a living. It was during this time that he gained the moniker, “The Echo”.  He worked as a mercenary for two years before he began to long for something more. A purpose aside from the senseless killings, which he did actually enjoy. Thus, he began to make his way to various Guild houses in order to find something to fill that void. None of the Guilds he came across at that time really did anything for him. It was all the same thing over and over again. The promises of power, wealth and the likes were good but didn’t quite fit. He required something more, something else to ease the insatiable appetite.
